It is CHRIST!
Hello Dear Ones!
It has been an extra week since I normally share my Scripture writings—just busy with life! I still did my writing though, so I thought I would share both with you today. 🙂 As I was reading these both over today, looking at them together, I realized they were truly on the same topic—that of Christ.
Christ suffered for me—and for YOU as well. He died on the cross for our sins, and why? To bring us to God. He opened the door. He made a way. He removed all barriers.
And since Christ has done this for us, should we not share this good news with those we come in contact with? Perhaps God has not called you or I to be a missionary over seas. Certainly there are many who have been, and have done or are doing a wonderful work, bringing the good news to others and also helping them with their physical needs as well. But maybe you have been called to be a missionary right where you find yourself today. In your home. On your street.
I have a friend who visited her neighbor and learned that her neighbor was very sick with cancer. So sick, in fact, that she soon was bedridden. My friend would go visit her neighbor, and they would pray together, talk about God, read His promises and talk about heaven. Her sick neighbor was always praising God even though she was stuck in bed! She would always tell my friend how blessed she was when my friend would visit her!
Who was the missionary?
Was it my friend who visited? Or the neighbor who was sick? I think it was both! They ministered to each other—just as God wants us to. Sadly, the neighbor died this week. She will be missed, but we know the next thing she will know will be Jesus calling her from her “nap” and taking her to live forever with Him in heaven. When my friend went to the funeral home for visitation, the neighbors son pointed my friend out and referred to her as his mothers best friend! The sick neighbor was always true inspiration to my friend—and through hearing about her to me.
Are you sharing the good news of Jesus with those you see every day? Am I? This is our mission field. And our topic is Jesus!
Until next time,
Friend
We receive so many gifts every day that we may not realize. God is forever watchful and kind to us. We surely do need to spread His word - there are so many non-believers out there. It is scary at times, how many people seem to following the devil. We have faith and we have the Lord in out lives - what a blessing.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week.
Definitely a blessing!!! I do not think I could live without knowing God. This world is too dark, tainted with sin as it is now. I am so very, very thankful for all His many many blessings!
